At 12, Jeffrey Gurian decided he wanted to be an orthodontist and a comedian. He sought his idol Woodie Allen, who encouraged him to go into film. According to Dr. Gurian, although the comedy world is a very hard business, he believes people should pursue their dreams, which he did by having multiple careers. As a host of Comedy Matters TV, he conducted over 500 interviews with celebrities. Jeffrey Gurian is an author and also a coach to those who want to overcome stuttering as he did.
