Encounter with God Service of Sunday, October 29th, 2023. Bishop Joshua speaks about the importance of not listening to the serpent (satan): “Many people want to change but never can because they listen to their hearts, and the Bible says that our hearts are deceitful.” He continues to talk about how, just as satan tricked Eve, he continues to do the same today, and people listen to him. He frequently uses other people to contaminate us. And because our hearts are full of evil things (Mark 7:21), following our hearts will lead us to hell. The truth hurts, but it blesses us because we are then aware of the truth. Many times, if you come to church and don’t like what the pastor is preaching, that is what God wants you to hear.
