The angel referred to Mary as the highly favored one, not because she was the source of favor but because she was chosen to carry the son of God in her womb. In the same way, we must be open and ready to receive God’s Spirit in our lives. You may have attended church all your life, seeking blessings for your health, family, or finances. However, as you tune into this service, remember that the scriptures urge us to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)
