She is the founder of the Global Medical Relief Fund (GMRF), a nonprofit dedicated to helping children who have been injured in war, natural disasters, or illness. Since 1997, Elissa has helped hundreds of young survivors from over 50 countries receive life-altering medical treatment, prosthetics, and rehabilitation in the United States. Her mission began with a single act of kindness and has grown into a global network of hope. Her extraordinary story and relentless dedication remind us all of the power of empathy in action.
